Pigeons and Doves
Pigeons and doves are birds belonging to the same family, Columbidae. They are closely related and share many similarities, which is why they are often considered synonymous. In general, the term “dove” is used to describe smaller species, while “pigeon” is used for larger ones, but this distinction is not always strict, and the two terms are often used interchangeably.
